Agency and department heads were to be advised that they’ll be held accountable for cyber security –
Mr. Trump held a “listening session” with cyber security experts, pointing to the hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) as an example of why the government needs to work with the private sector. No mention was made however of the Russian involvement in tampering with the 2016 U.S. Presidential election by spreading false stories and alleged hacking of U.S. computer systems to influence the election.
However the White House announced that the signing of a Cyber Security Executive Order had been cancelled for Tuesday.
A draft copy of the order leaked earlier. It would give the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security 60 days to submit a list of recommendations to protect U.S. government and private networks.

“Hundreds and Hundreds of millions of dollars $$$…”
And in keeping with expectations, the president could not help taking a jab at others concerning Cyber Security. He said at a briefing on the subject Tuesday, “Despite how they (the DNC) spent hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars more money than we did, the Democratic National Committee was hacked successfully, very successfully, and terribly successfully,” he said. “And the Republican National Committee was not hacked. Meaning it was hacked, but they failed. We had a very strong defense system against hacking.”
