President Trump Gets His Travel Ban Shut Down by a Judge He Can’t Fire

Donald Trump gets some really bad news as he jets his way to two big events this weekend – a federal judge has temporarily blocked his travel ban executive order.
The judges order gave hope to some Middle East travelers but left them unclear how long the new travel window might last. Some airlines are already saying they will again allow persons to travel from the ‘banned’ countries if they already had visas. President Trump denounced and ridiculed the judge on Twitter and said the decision would be reversed.

Once the president gets over his upset, he can get on with a busy weekend schedule

President Donald Trump will attend two events this weekend. One a charity ball at his Mar-A-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and the other a Super Bowl gathering at his Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach.
Some people have noted that president Trump earns income from both of these properties. So his decision as president to attend events at these locations creates the appearance that he may be using the presidency to increase the visibility, prestige and financial the value of his clubs. Catering alone has run to more than $300,000 at such events.
And Trumps 126-room Mar-A-Lago mansion has been referred to by presidential spokesman Sean Spicer the “Winter White House,” suggesting Mar-A-Lago would be a Trump administration site of official business in addition to serving as a weekend retreat. Mar-A-Lago recently announced that it had doubled its membership fees, from $100,000 to $200,000, suggesting the business had benefited from Trumps win of the White House and thus benefiting his own personal wealth.
Along with such concerns, it has also been noted that Donald Trump’s presidential campaign “had many unusual aspects, not the least of which was the huge amount of money it funneled into Trump’s own businesses.”
